The one standout\u00a0moment was\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/electricinsights.co.uk\/#\/dashboard?start=2026-03-25&amp;&amp;_k=8cf4k9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">25 March<\/a>, when the combined output from Britain\u2019s renewable\u00a0generators jumped by nearly 4 GW, rising from a previous peak of 31.7 GW to\u00a035.6 GW. The same day also saw low-carbon sources produce more than 40 GW\u00a0for the first time. Together, Britain\u2019s nuclear, biomass, wind, solar and hydro also\u00a0had their most productive ever month in <a href=\"https:\/\/electricinsights.co.uk\/#\/dashboard?period=1-month&amp;start=2026-02-01&amp;&amp;_k=jnt2xs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">February<\/a>, averaging more than 25 GW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tables below look over the past seventeen years and report the record\u00a0instantaneous output and share of electricity generation, plus sustained averages\u00a0over a day, a month, and a calendar year. Cells highlighted in blue are records that\u00a0were broken in the first quarter of 2026.
